Time to take some time off my Hubpages endeavours, and indulge in a personal rant against humanity.
Everyday, I’ll take the time to read a plethora of news sources, in a last ditch effort for arm-chair journalists such as myself to form a somewhat objective picture of the day’s news.
In this time of euphoric candor, the smiling faces of the presidential wannabees headline every major media outlet. Behind them however — waving a large stick — G.W Bush raves on. The latest feature show on the supposed harassment of U.S Battleships.
Whoa, I thought to myself. Serious stuff. I mean, you’d need to do something fairly major to piss of the US navy and D.O.D. The near apocalyptic tones of CNN, coupled with the usual “DON’T PISS OFF THE GOOD GUY TEAM” attitude of Fox-news, made me quiver with curiosity.
I’m going to let you decide for yourself, since thankfully a video was released by DOD showing us what it is exactly that the feared Iranian National Guard roll in.
What are we coming to? I was half expecting to see some Iranian guy with waterskis trailing behind the boat. Am I the only person who actually laughed out loud when seeing this pathetic excuse for a diplomatic crisis. The waves pulsing from the U.S warships could topple this massive Iranian armada.
Regardless, Bush seized the chance to up the rhetoric. Finding a conveniently cheering audience in Israel. If this is all we need to prompt questions of Iran invasion. It’s going to be a turbulent and mine-ridden trek to the next elections.
