Super Tuesday Looms
For once, the entire world is watching. Personally, I’m none too curious at the outcome. While many U.S citizens (including many friends of mine) have had one of those oh snap moments regarding the state of the economy. Foreign policy is still to me, that which makes or breaks political candidates. How can opinion shift away from the war to economy when the two are irrevocably linked?
It seems that of all the candidates, none seem to promise a less arrogant global policy.
Obama has his eye fixed on Pakistan. Clinton refuses to dismiss the Iranian threat despite the NIE estimate. McCain is well — John “one hundred year war” McCain. Of all these candidates, only Obama promises any dialogue with “rogue” states.
In any case, I’ll keep an eye out for developments today (and post accordingly). The results should prove interesting and telling. Although I very much doubt that today will be the be all and end all of party candidacy.
Stay tuned.
